Our love of bagels came from owners Emily & Mitch living and working in Canada. Bagels came from a love of missing a part of their second home in Canada.
When COVID stuck in March 2022 they were forced to come home from living overseas and rethink what was next. This is when Upwey Eats (or now known as UE Bagels) was born, a food truck traveling to events and markets from Warwick to the Gold Coast.
The name Upwey comes from Mitch's family farm, sitting on 80 acres of fields, vine yards and looking over rolling hills.

'We went for a hike one day and Mitch was craving a fresh a bagel, we realised there wasn't anywhere that made bagels fresh on the Gold Coast. We decided to make them at home, and boy, oh boy, they were great! We realised this was the hole we were missing in our lives. (no pun intended)
The next two years were spent making 100's of bagels in the food truck while travelling to markets weekly and delivering to houses throughout the many lockdowns.
Fast forward to November 2022, after many house deliveries, events and mornings at The Helensvale, Burleigh and Currumbin Markets, it was time for UE Bagels to open their first shop in Varsity Lakes. The hub and heart of the business where Emily and Mitch are up are 2am every morning making the freshest bagels you can get on the Gold Coast. In September 2023 they opened their Palm Beach Store and in February 2025 they opened their Latest store in Miami.
AT UE Bagels we continue to innovate and change the space with seasonal menus, daily rotating bagel flavours and weekly rotating cream cheese flavours.
